Broken Needle Detection for Pork
Vaccination needles that break off in the animal are a recognised hazard in pork processing, and they are hard to distinguish from bone on a conventional image. A pork-body analysis model trained for this task identifies broken needles specifically, so the affected section can be pulled from the line. The machine also handles conventional foreign bodies, and is built for continuous 24-hour operation.

Key features
- AI pork-body analysis that separates needles from bone and soft tissue
- Also detects conventional foreign bodies
- Large 23.6 × 11.8 in aperture for primal sections
- Double-layer thermal cycle for continuous operation
- Detachable conveyor for direct wash-down
- 4G connectivity with automatic fault notification
Typical applications
- Pig slaughtering and primary processing
- Pork further processing
- Other meat products with hidden-needle risk
What it detects
- Broken hypodermic needles
- Metal (ferrous, non-ferrous, stainless)
- Glass
- Ceramic
- Hard plastic and resin
- Bone and shell
- Stone
